Tim McFadden

- Introduced to glassblowing by my older brother, Marty, at age 16.
- Started blowing glass at Salisbury University in Fall 2001.
- Took my first class on Venetian techniques with Bill Gudenrath at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York in Winter 2002.
- Spring 2005, won first place and $5,000 through Salisbury University’s Annual Business Plan Competition to open a glassblowing studio and qualified for the Fortune Small Business Magazine Student Showdown Competition,
of which I was a quarterfinalist out of 87 other submissions.
- Spring 2006, started building the studio and opened to the public in the Fall.
- Summer 2007, signed on as faculty through Baltimore City and County Community colleges as glassblowing professor.
- Summer 2007, attended Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, WA
- Fall 2007, chosen to design and create the 35 table centerpieces for the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) annual banquet/fund raiser.
- February 2008, opened The Glass Grill restaurant/bar adjacent to the studio.
- Spring 2008, signed on as faculty through Towson University. Started first glassblowing course to be offered through the UniversityÕ s Art Department.
